Friends - Teammates - Brothers

I am on the back right. I grew up with Daane (back left) playing army in our back yard (see picture). I have known the other guys for over half my life, have played with them on a variety of teams and gone on various trips with them. These guys started out as my friends, then teammates, then state champions, then fraternaty brothers and finally UT intramural champions. Life doesn't get much better than friends and family, although a UT win in football would be nice.

Andrea, Alison & Michael. I cannot express enough what a fun and meaningful time we had in Maine visiting with Mom and her family. We enjoyed everyone and ourselves.

This is Benjamin at the fire station yesterday. I wanted him to see them with the full uniform on so he would know to not be scared of them.

The other pic is Natalie- taken a few weeks ago. I'm glad she smiled big because now that front left tooth is barely hanging on and then she will really look like a "big girl".

Hey Vekasis!

Hi Vekasis!
I thought we could start this to share any little info. that we have throughout the year in addition to writing at Christmas. If it doesn't work out- no big deal we can delete it. Dad helped me choose VKC1950 because it is the year Jim was born and easier to remember than the year Grammie and Grampie got married.
As you all know, I think, we moved to North Carolina in June. This has been a big step for us, and we really like it here but it was hard to move away from our families. It's a cute town, and I love the Elon University campus (especially in fall). Natalie attends Elon Elementary which is RIGHT next to the college campus. I joked with Natalie on her birthday (on the way to school) that I didn't think I would be taking her to college on her sixth birthday. I have to wait in the car line to pick her up every day and I love to watch all the students walking to class or playing tennis, etc. Today I saw a guy in a big puffy pink jacket trimmed with white fur. Interesting...
Ben is in preschool at St. Marks down the street, so I have six hours with no kids a week. It's a good thing.
Okay well that's it for now. I really like Mary's idea of everyone have a folder and adding to it every year, but I also thought this would be easy to add to and check up on everyone now and then. I am new to the whole blogging thing, but it looks like if I send you a blog author invite you can all write posts on here. Let me know if you have a problem writing a post. Also, I clicked as many things as I could so not just anyone could get on here and read about us. Hope everyone is well!
